Tee Ball

Tee Ball is for beginning players, ages 5 and 6 (some 7). Coed teams, no tryouts, practices begin after March 11. Approximately 8 games. No scores or standings are kept, and no umpire. Players get a t-shirt and cap to keep and are asked to wear cleats and to have a mitt. A softer tee ball is used.

Coach Pitch

Coach Pitch is for players ages 6 and 7 (some 8). If your 8 year old is still developing better hand eye coordination or they are on the younger side of their classmates or have not played baseball before, this is the place to start. Coed teams, no tryouts, practices begin after March 11. Coach Pitch Softball and Baseball are offered. Approximately 8 games. No scores or standings are kept, and no umpire. Players get a t-shirt and cap to keep and are asked to wear cleats and to have a mitt. Boys must wear an athletic cup.

(For 6 year olds to play Coach Pitch they must have played 1 year of Tee Ball and have league approval to play up, for safety reasons.)

89ers Baseball

89ers is for players ages 8 and 9, who are ready to learn to play kid-pitch baseball and fast pitch softball. Coed teams for baseball, kids pitch, 60 foot diamond, approximately 15 - 20 games. Scores and standings are kept, and games are umpired by volunteer umpires. Assessments are highly recommended, but not required. Complete game playing attire (baseball/softball pants, socks and belt) required. Players get a t-shirt and cap to keep and are required to wear cleats and to have a mitt. Boys must wear an athletic cup.

AAA Baseball

AAA is generally for players ages 10 and 11, who have played at least one year in 89ers. Coed teams, kids pitch, 60 foot diamond, approximately 15-20 games. Scores and standings are kept, and games are umpired by volunteer umpires. (AAA Baseball and Softball are offered.) Interleague with other City Little League teams. Assessments are highly recommended, but not required. Complete baseball attire (baseball/softball pants, socks and belt) required. Players are issued a league-owned jersey, which must be returned at the end of the season, and are required to wear cleats and to have a mitt. Boys must wear an athletic cup.

Majors Baseball

Majors is for players 11 and 12, with a limited number of 10 year old players. Coed teams, kids pitch, 60 foot diamond, approximately 20-22 games. Scores and standings are kept, and games are umpired by volunteer umpires. (Majors Baseball and Softball are offered.) Interleague with other City Little League teams. Assessments are required. Complete baseball attire (baseball/softball pants, socks and belt) required. Players are issued a league-owned jersey, which must be returned at the end of the season, and are required to wear cleats and to have a mitt. Boys must wear an athletic cup.

Juniors is for players ages 13 and 14. Coed teams, kids pitch, 90 foot diamond, approximately 20-25 games. Scores and standings are kept, and games are umpired by volunteer umpires. Interleague with other District 8 (Ballard to Woodinville) teams. High school players are encouraged to play Little League as well, for playing time. Assessments may be required.
