Welcome to Ballard Little League

“The objective of the Local League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well-adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.” We want to encourage the children of Ballard to join and enjoy baseball and softball in their own community.

  • Skills Assessment for Majors/AAA Baseball

Ballard Little League Skills Assessment for Majors/AAA Baseball Divisions (10, 11, & 12 Years Old)

The skills assessment for Majors/AAA Baseball is coming up on Saturday, February 2nd. The skills assessment is a way for coaches to see the individual ability of each player. This information is then used to create balance among the teams. Our goal is to make the teams as even as possible so everyone has fun. There is no pressure at the assessments as every player will be placed on a team.

Players will attend one 45 minute assessment with approximately 15 kids per time slot. The assessments will take place from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 2nd.

The assessment is a lot of fun and no pressure. All players, including those who played on a Majors team last season, should plan to attend one of the assessments as there will be a full re-draft again this year.

For a 10 or 11 year old to be considered for a Majors team, they must attend an assessment time.

This year's assessment will take place at City Baseball Facility in Magnolia: 2901 West Commodore Way. The good news is we're doing the assessments indoors this year. However, there will not be space for kids to warm-up prior to their assessment. Players should plan to come to assessments prepared to jump right into drills, so they may wish to warm-up prior to their arrival.

Please follow this link to choose the assessment time that best fits your schedule on Feb. 2nd:

Hello Ballard Little League Supporters!

We are very excited as we get ready for the 2018 season which will celebrate 64 years of Little League baseball and softball in Ballard! As one of the oldest Little Leagues in the state of Washington, we are very proud of our legacy. Our alumni tell us that some of their fondest memories are of playing ball at Gilman, or winning the League championship, or learning to slide on a warm spring day. We're proud that our players not only go on to play more ball in their lives, but that they also go on to lead productive and happy lives and we hope they take some of the lessons they learn on the ball field with them.

We look forward to meeting you and thanks for your support!
